Lim, An, Lee set to battle for gold in archery recurve final
The women’s individual recurve archery final has been set up between triple Olympic champion An An and 20-year-old South Korea’s Lim Im-hyun.
In the semifinals of the Recurve Women’s Individual event at the Fuyang Inhu Sports Center, Im defeated China’s Li Jiaman 6-5 in a shootout.
In the ensuing match, An also advanced to the final after defeating China’s Hai Ligan 7 to 3.
With the two Korean athletes reaching the final side by side, Korea secured its first gold medal in the women’s individual recurve event at the Asian Games in nine years, since 2014.
In the compound women’s individual event, So Chae-won defeated an Indonesian 145 to 142 in the semifinals to reach the final and secure the silver medal.
