‘Weapons rampage’ warning at Daegu ballpark…police “preparing for just in case”

Police have launched an investigation into a post threatening to go on a “knife rampage” at a baseball stadium.

According to the Daegu Metropolitan Police Department, at 3:39 p.m. on the 5th, a post was posted in the ‘Cheer for Samsung-LG Game’ section of the KBO application, saying, “I will stab and kill dozens of people at the Daegu baseball field today. Be prepared,” the post read. 꽁머니

A citizen who saw the post reported it to police via text message at 5:01 p.m.

At Samsung Lions Park in Daegu, a game between the home team, the Samsung Lions, and the LG Twins was scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. that day.

The Daegu Metropolitan Police Department’s Cyber Investigation Unit is tracking down the nickname “Baseball Commissioner” who wrote the post.

Daegu Police Chief Kim Soo-young and the chief of Daegu Suseong Police Station, Kim Young-soo, are at the scene to take command of the situation in case something happens.

Riot police, commandos, local police, detectives, and commando armored vehicles were deployed to the scene.
